MLCCC Outreach Activities
As of January 2009, the MLCCC has accelerated its outreach to Greater Philadelphia
families in order to achieve its mission of reaching out to all Greater Philadelphia
families. Via its China Learning Program at the highly-respected Russell Byers Charter
School in downtown Philadelphia, the MLCCC is offering its training to inner-city
youth of diverse backgrounds. Moreover, at its January 25th, 2009 Chinese New Year
celebration gala, Pennsylvania Senator Andrew E. Dinniman shared his praise for
the group's proactive outreach to the area's diverse population. In particular,
Senator Dinniman favorably commented on the group's strategic approach in selecting
a Board of Directors with diverse experiences and backgrounds who could support
the non-profit's mission. Finally at the gala, Mr. Drake Nakaishi, who serves on
Governor Rendell's Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs, presented a proclamation
certificate to the MLCCC.
