Third Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration

Saturday, May 30th, 2009
On Saturday, May 30th, the MLCCC will be participating in the 3rd Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration. Members of all communities are invited to celebrate the diversity of regional Asian ethnicities at this outdoor festival from 11:00am to 5:00pm at Franklin Square Park, 6th and Race Streets, Philadelphia. Admission is free and it will be held rain or shine.

Over 90,000 Asian Pacific Americans reside in Philadelphia County and nearly 300,000 people who identify as Asian live in Pennsylvania. Enjoy Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese arts and cultural performances, an exquisite variety of ethnic foods, handcrafted and imported ethnic art and merchandise, and interactive children's activities offered by the region's museums and arts organizations. Last year, over 3,000 adults and children took part in the festivities. Admission is free and there is limited free parking available on the west side of 7th Street between Vine & Callow Hill Streets. For more information, please visit www.panasianphila.org.
